Northwest Welcomes Robert E. Levy

MissionConnexion is privileged to welcome Robert Levy to the Northwest this January! Robert is a Christian businessman from Jamaica and the father of Wendy Palau.
He has served the Jamaica Broilers Group Limited for over 55 years in various management and Executive positions, before being appointed Chairman in 2009. He was educated at St. Andrew Prep School, DeCarteret College and Jamaica College. In 1996, he graduated from the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Jamaica Broilers ltd. has become one of the largest poultry operations in the Caribbean also with operations in five states in the USA, yet Robert was a high school dropout who experienced a dramatic change of life at 30 years of age. He has been recognized by both the government and the private sector in Jamaica.
He has served as Chairman or President of over a dozen boards, foundations and associations ranging from those related to science and technology, hospitals, business enterprise, mercy, and educational ministries as well as service groups like the Rotary Club, and serving as a past Trustee of Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA. Robert has also received honorary degrees and awards in fields ranging from Law, Theology, Agriculture, Humanitarianism and Philanthropy.
In 2008, Robert Levy invited Luis Palau to help him celebrate the half-century anniversary of the company he founded, by saying thank you to the people of Jamaica who had supported his business. Luis gave the entire country an opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel that had so changed his life. The festival, entitled “Best Dressed 50Fest,” took place in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Jamaica Broilers, which underwrote the entire costs of the festival.
Robert Levy has been married to Judy since 1964 and together have four children – Christopher married to Sally, Wendy married to Andrew Palau, Amanda to Toby (Mac) McKeehan and Stephen married to Michka-Mae and 14 grandchildren.
