Southwest Welcomes Nathan J’Diim
By Jake E., Southwest Coordinator, MissionConnexion
MissionConnexion Southwest welcomes Nathan, who will be our opening keynote speaker in 2023. Nathan comes to us with 25 years of experience as a lead pastor of a local church in the Phoenix area and many years training, discipling and equipping people for the cross-cultural ministry. He has a fervent passion for Jesus that is hard to rival along with a passion for His Kingdom.
Nathan has a unique story in that he stepped down from being the lead pastor to be the missions pastor so that he could help train up the people that his church was sending to the unreached areas of the world. This led to him starting a wonderful ministry called TOAG, which stands for Training Ordinary Apprentices to Go.
The concept of training ordinary people basically means you don’t need to have a seminary degree to be used by God. The concept of “ordinary apprentices” stems from the Gospels and the book of Acts. Jesus called the disciples who were fisherman, tax collectors, at the time ordinary people. He called them to follow Him and give themselves up for what was better than the lives they had been living. He called them to give up writing their own story so that He could ultimately write it.
Nathan has a love and passion for the Word of God, always a student and a humble servant to those who don’t know Jesus yet. He loves sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom with those who haven’t experienced it’s life transforming ways.
Nathan will be speaking at Grace Community Church in Tempe on Friday, November 3, 2023. He is also speaking at Leadership Connexion earlier in the day from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM.
My encouragement to you is to come and enjoy a time of worship, great teaching and if you feel “ordinary”, you will be in great company!
